Stainless vs Colour-Coated Finishes
The Chrome, Gunmetal, Matt Black, and Brushed Brass versions of this waste insert have a colour coating applied over a base metal. Stainless steel, by contrast, is the raw material itself. There is no coating to wear through, scratch, or discolour over years of exposure to water, cleaning products, and foot traffic. For commercial applications, holiday rentals, or simply peace of mind, the stainless version is the most robust option.
Visual Appearance
The satin stainless steel frame has a neutral, silver-toned appearance that works alongside chrome and brushed nickel hardware. It does not match Gunmetal or Brass tones, so consider your other hardware finishes when choosing this option.

Installed during the tiling phase. Standard 120x120mm rough-in size compatible with NZ plumbing. Requires waterproofing and professional installation by a tiler and plumber.
