A tiled waste insert lets you carry your floor tile directly over the shower drain. The insert sits below the finished tile surface with a recessed tray that holds a cut piece of your floor tile. When installed, the only visible element is a narrow metal frame around the tile, creating an almost invisible drain that preserves the clean look of your shower floor.
How It Works
The insert body is set into the floor during the tiling stage. A piece of your floor tile is cut to fit inside the recessed tray, and the surrounding metal frame sits flush with the tile surface. Water drains through narrow gaps around the tile insert and into the waste below. The frame lifts out for cleaning and maintenance access.
120 x 120mm Size
This is the standard size for shower floor wastes in New Zealand. It provides adequate drainage flow for residential shower applications and fits standard plumbing rough-in dimensions.
Five Frame Finishes
The visible metal frame is available in Chrome, Nickel, Matt Black, Gun Metal, and Brushed Brass. Matching your waste frame to your shower channel finish creates a consistent hardware look at floor level.
Installation
Must be installed during the tiling phase by a qualified tiler or plumber. Correct waterproofing of the shower floor is essential before fitting. The waste connects to standard NZ plumbing drainage.
