Round shower enclosures use curved glass panels, and the seals that run along their edges need to flex around that curve. This side seal is designed with the flexibility to follow the radius of round shower glass without lifting away from the surface or creating gaps.
6-8mm Glass Compatibility
Round showers in New Zealand typically use thinner glass (6mm or 8mm) than frameless enclosures, which use 10mm. This seal is profiled to grip glass in the 6-8mm thickness range. It will not fit securely on 10mm glass. If you have a frameless enclosure with 10mm glass, see the side seals designed for that thickness.
Common Replacement Scenario
Round shower enclosures are common in NZ homes built or renovated during the 2000s and 2010s. If the side seals on your round shower have perished or hardened, water will leak from the door edges. This replacement seal restores the watertight barrier without needing to replace the entire enclosure.
