What Does 4-Lip Mean?
A 4-lip tray has a raised edge on all four sides. This is significant because it means the tray is symmetrical and can be installed in any orientation. Whether your waste outlet is on the left, right, or centre of the shower space, the same tray works. Trays with fewer lips (2-lip or 3-lip) are corner-specific and must be ordered for a particular hand, which adds complexity and the risk of ordering the wrong configuration.

This tray is available in a range of sizes to suit different shower configurations, from compact 750x900mm alcove showers through to larger 1800x900mm walk-in formats. Some sizes offer a choice between centre waste and rear waste positions, so confirm your plumbing layout before selecting.
Installation
The tray sits on the floor with the raised lips fitting against the wall surfaces. Waterproofing is applied to the junction between the tray lip and the wall. The waste connects to standard NZ drainage below the floor. Professional installation by a tiler and plumber is recommended to ensure correct fall, waterproofing, and drainage compliance.
