The Parrot Transformer converts your home’s 240V mains power supply to the 12V used by all low-voltage heated towel rails in the Shower Solutions range. Without it, 12V heated bars will not operate.
Essential Component
Every 12V heated towel bar or rail requires a transformer. If you are buying heated towel bars for the first time, add a Parrot Transformer to your order. If you already have one installed, check whether it has capacity for additional bars before connecting more.
Multiple Bars Per Transformer
A single transformer can power multiple heated bars, provided the total wattage does not exceed the transformer’s rated capacity. Your electrician can calculate the total load and confirm compatibility.
Installation
The transformer is typically concealed inside the wall cavity or in a nearby cupboard. It must be installed and connected by a registered electrician.
