Over-panel clips connect a horizontal overhead glass panel to the top of a vertical shower screen or door panel. This overhead panel acts as a structural brace that holds the shower glass rigid without needing a bulky metal support bar.
What Over-Panel Clips Do
In a frameless shower, the glass panels need lateral support to prevent them from flexing or moving. One way to achieve this is with a metal stabiliser bar from the glass to the wall. The alternative is an overhead glass panel, which provides the same bracing function while maintaining the all-glass aesthetic. Over-panel clips are the hardware that makes this connection, gripping the top edge of the vertical glass and holding the horizontal panel in place.
Sizing
These clips measure 21mm wide by 30.3mm high. They are designed to sit on top of glass panels between 6mm and 10mm thick, and they hold overhead panels of 6mm glass. Confirm your glass thicknesses with your installer before ordering.
Finish Coordination
Available in Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Matt Black, Brushed Gunmetal, and Brushed Brass. These finishes are designed to match across the Abode hardware range, so your clips, hinges, and handles can all share the same finish.
How Many Do You Need?
The number of clips required depends on the length of the overhead panel and the configuration of your shower. Your installer will specify the quantity based on your enclosure design. Sold individually to allow for exact ordering.
