This is the standard side seal for frameless shower enclosures with 10mm glass. It runs along the vertical edge of the shower door where it meets the wall or an adjacent glass panel, preventing water from spraying through the gap.
Pre-Cut to 1950mm
Unlike most seals in the range that are supplied in 2 metre lengths, this seal comes pre-cut to 1950mm, which is the standard glass height for frameless showers in New Zealand. This means minimal trimming is needed during installation.
Straight Fin Profile
The seal uses a simple straight fin that compresses against the adjacent surface when the door is closed. This is the most common side seal profile and suits the majority of frameless shower installations where the door meets the wall at a standard 90-degree angle with a narrow, even gap.
When You Might Need a Different Profile
If the gap between your door and wall is wider than usual, or if the surfaces meet at an angle, consider the Reach (angled fin) or Chair (wider fin) profiles instead. This standard side seal works best when the gap is narrow and consistent along its full height.
Fitting
Slides onto the edge of 10mm glass. No adhesive or fixings. Can be trimmed further if your glass is shorter than 1950mm.
