The Bumper seal serves two functions: it blocks water at the base or end of a shower door, and it provides a cushioned buffer that prevents the glass from contacting hard surfaces. This dual-purpose design makes it especially useful on sliding shower doors where the door panel slides to a stop against a wall or fixed panel.
Bottom Seal and Door End Seal in One
On sliding showers, you often need a seal along the bottom of the door and a separate cushion on the end where the door stops. The Bumper profile works in both positions, which means fewer seal types to identify and stock. It provides water resistance at the bottom and impact cushioning at the end.
Protecting the Glass
Without an end seal, a sliding shower door can contact the wall or fixed panel directly. Over time, this glass-on-surface contact can chip the glass edges. The Bumper’s cushioned profile absorbs the closing impact and keeps the glass edge protected.
