The Elmo is a glass connector seal that joins two panels of 10mm glass at a 90-degree angle. It has a dual-channel cross-section: each channel grips one glass panel, and the flexible rubber body between them accommodates the angle while creating a watertight seal at the junction.
When to Use a Glass Connector Seal
Glass connector seals are used where two fixed panels meet at a corner and no hinge or mechanical connection is needed. The most common example is the junction between a fixed wall panel and a fixed return panel in a walk-in shower. The Elmo holds the panels in relation to each other and seals the gap between them, without the visual bulk or cost of metal clamps.
Limitations
A glass connector seal provides a flexible, non-rigid connection. It is not a structural substitute for metal clamps or hinges. If the junction needs to bear load, resist movement, or support a hinged door, metal hardware is required. The Elmo is appropriate only for fixed panel junctions where the glass is independently supported by channels or other fixings.
Installation
The seal slides onto both glass edges simultaneously at the 90-degree junction. Supplied in 2 metre lengths. Trim to the height of your glass panels with a sharp blade.
