The Dive is a side seal designed for the vertical edges of framed sliding shower doors. It fits into the aluminium frame track and compresses against the door panel as it slides closed, blocking water from escaping through the vertical gap.
Framed Sliding Door Seals
Framed sliding showers have aluminium tracks top and bottom with vertical frame members on each side. The side seals sit within these vertical frame members and create the water barrier when the door is in its closed position. The Dive profile is shaped to fit standard NZ framed shower frame channels.
Why Side Seals Fail on Sliding Doors
Every time the sliding door opens and closes, the seal is compressed and released. Over years of daily use, this repeated cycling causes the rubber to lose elasticity. The seal may also accumulate soap scum and mineral deposits that harden the material. Replacing the side seals restores the watertight performance of the enclosure.
Installation
Supplied in 2 metre lengths. Trim to the height of your frame. Slides into the existing frame channel. No adhesive required. If you are unsure which profile fits your framed shower, bring a section of the old seal to the Shower Solutions showroom for matching.
