Fumed Oak Velvet replicates the look of oak timber that has been treated with ammonia fumes to darken and enrich the grain. The result is a deep, warm brown with pronounced grain contrast that has more character than a standard oak finish.
Fumed Oak Character
The fuming process (replicated in this finish) darkens the tannins in oak, creating a finish with more depth and variation than untreated oak. It suits bathrooms that want a timber presence without the light, blonde tone of natural oak or the redness of Rimu.
