Vanity Tops

A vanity top is made to suit a specific basin, which is why the sequence matters: choose the basin first, then order the top. The cutout is machined to the dimensions of that particular bowl, and it cannot be changed afterwards.

Tops are manufactured in our own New Zealand factory to your dimensions, so if your cabinet is a non-standard width, which is common in older houses and in any bathroom that has been renovated before, we make a top that fits rather than one that nearly does.

Decide on your tap arrangement at the same time. A top can be supplied with one tap hole, three holes, or none at all if you are running wall mounted tapware. Wall mounted taps give a cleaner top surface that wipes down in one pass, but the plumbing has to be set out before the wall is lined, so this is an early decision rather than a late one.

Basin style changes the look considerably. A countertop bowl sits proud of the surface and becomes a feature, but leaves a joint around its base to clean. An under mount sits below the surface for a flush finish that wipes straight into the bowl. A drop-in sits between the two.
