Shower Liners & Trays

The liner or tray is the waterproof base of the shower and the single most consequential decision in the whole installation. When a bathroom leaks, this is usually where it started, and a leak here is expensive because by the time it shows up in the ceiling below, the damage is already done.

A moulded liner or tray solves the problem by removing the joints. There are no grout lines to fail, no fall to get wrong, and no waterproofing membrane depending on a good day from whoever applied it. The fall to the waste is manufactured into the product, which is the detail most often got wrong in a tiled shower floor built on site. For a renovation on a schedule, it is also dramatically faster: a liner goes in and is ready to use in a fraction of the time tiling and sealing takes.

Tiled showers still have their place where the design calls for a continuous floor finish, and in that case a tileable base gives you the guaranteed fall with the tiled appearance on top. Linear channel drains work well in that configuration.

Our range covers standard sizes for corner, alcove and walk-in configurations, plus custom sizing for openings that do not match anything off the shelf. That is a common requirement in New Zealand villas and bungalows where nothing is quite the dimension you would expect.

Before ordering, confirm your waste position. Centre and corner wastes are not interchangeable and moving a waste means lifting the floor, which changes the scope of the job entirely. Measure the alcove at floor level rather than at the top of the wall, since walls are rarely plumb in older houses.
