Frameless Shower Handles

Handles are the one piece of frameless hardware you touch every day, so they are worth specifying properly. They are also the component with the least tolerance for error, because they fix through pre-drilled holes in the glass and toughened glass cannot be re-drilled once it has been manufactured.

If you are replacing a handle rather than specifying one for a new enclosure, measure the distance between the centres of the existing holes before you order anything. That measurement is fixed and it determines what will fit. A handle with different hole centres will not go on, no matter how close it looks. If there is only one hole, you need a knob or a single-fix pull rather than a two-point handle.

Our range covers designer square, Perlemo and double D profiles in lengths from 210mm to 250mm. Longer handles give more purchase and suit taller doors and larger panels. Shorter handles sit more discreetly and work better on a narrow door where a long handle would look out of proportion. All are solid construction rather than plated hollow tube, which matters in a wet area where cheaper handles corrode from the inside out.

Finishes include chrome, matt black, brushed nickel and brushed brass. Pick your finish across the whole bathroom at once. Handles, hinges, channels, tapware and towel rails all sit in the same visual field, and mixing finishes rarely looks deliberate unless it is planned carefully.
